New to Desert Yoga Therapy, Open Practice is about embarking on a practice that is both guided by the instructor and self-guided by the practitioner. We open the class together and the instructor outlines the day’s practice. The student then undertakes the practice at their own pace and rhythm with the instructor watching the class and offering guidance where beneficial. The class closes together with 15-minutes of savasana, chanting, or meditation, chosen by the student. This practice is a beautiful opportunity to truly listen to what your body is needing in the moment and building trust in your inner wisdom and guidance. Some yoga experience is preferred but not necessary.
