Come join us!
This gentle stretch/restorative class begins with 35 minutes of deep stretching designed to stimulate and tone the joints and deep connective tissues by increasing supply of fluids to them. Followed by 40 minutes of restorative yoga designed to balance the nervous system, boost the immune system, still the mind and improve the capacity for healing and balancing. This can be a deeply healing practice and is a way to bring harmony and peace to an often hectic life. This class is suitable for all levels.
Looking to unwind after work or recharge before the weekend? Perhaps you simply want to honor a commitment to yourself to unplug. Join me for the “Happiest Hour”! Couples, families (teen and up), and individuals who would like to move out of the hectic pace of daily life and move into contemplative time are all welcome. Based on the principles of Judith Hanson Lasater’s Restorative Yoga, Sharon Salzberg’s Real Happiness and Dan Harris’ Ten Percent Happier, we will spend some time experiencing deep relaxation and close with meditation. You may participate from the floor or in a chair, and you do not need anything special, nor any previous experience.
A perfect class for those with little or no yoga experience with the focus on beginners and basics. It is suitable for those seeking a way to build their foundation of a yoga practice in a supportive, non-judgmental and compassionate way. The class involves poses that build strength and flexibility, all supported by a connection to the breath and relaxation. Ability to get up and down from the floor is required. Held every other Wednesday. Check the calendar for class dates.
