This class is prop intensive through the use of blankets, bolsters, blocks, straps, sandbags and eye covers.
A perfect class for those with no yoga experience and ready to step onto the healing path of yoga. This class is also for those seeking a more gentle practice, who are dealing with chronic injury or pain and want to focus on the basics. We work on re-establishing functional movement patterns, stretching deeply, improving balance as well as hand-eye coordination.

This can include blankets (4-5 is ideal), two blocks, a rectangular bolster or firm cushion/pillow, and an eye cover. You can improvise with beach towels, thick bed blankets, and firm cushions from a sofa/chair. You must sign up in advance to attend class.

This class format was inspired by working with those caring for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Open to both men and women, no experience necessary. An ability to get up and down from the floor is helpful but not necessary as a chair may be used for parts of this practice.
